Mukul Gulati

Managing Director

Mukul Gulati is the Managing Director for Zephyr Peacock India Management. Mukul performs deal origination, evaluation, structuring and portfolio monitoring activities for the Peacock Funds and is responsible for overall leadership of Zephyr’s Bangalore office. Mukul serves on the Boards of Miles Software, WLC India, Maxop Engineering, Metro Wireless, Trimax IT Infrastructure and Services Ltd and Aizant Research.

Mukul has more than 15 years of experience in the investment business including private equity, investment research, product development and general management. He has extensive experience in corporate M&A and due diligence activities. Previously, he worked at Multex and Reuters, where he was in senior leadership roles and co-founded an equity research product now widely used by institutional investors.

Mukul received an MBA with honors from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland, where he was a Dean’s Scholar at the Department of Economics.

Sachin Maheshwari

Director

Location: Bangalore, India

Sachin Maheshwari is a Director for Zephyr Peacock India Management and is based in Bangalore. He is responsible for deal origination, evaluation, structuring and portfolio monitoring activities.

Sachin has over 12 years of investing, operating and consulting experience in India and the United States. Prior to joining Zephyr, Sachin was a Principal at Draper Fisher Jurvetson India and focused on investments across sectors in India. He also has experience in US investing from his stint at Opus Capital in the Silicon Valley.

In addition, Sachin has operating expertise from his roles at EFI, Inc. and Unimobile, a wireless startup. He later joined the Corporate Strategy group at EFI and worked on developing the channel strategy for EFI products. Sachin has also worked for Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in their San Francisco office.

Sachin received an MBA from the Wharton School where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar. He also holds a B.Tech. degree in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur.

Vishal Dixit

Director
Location: Bangalore, India

Vishal Dixit is a Director for Zephyr Peacock India Management and is based in Bangalore. Prior to joining Zephyr, he has worked with Actis Capital in London and Macquarie Capital in New York, focusing on private equity transactions in infrastructure and industrial sectors. Mr. Dixit started his professional career with the United Nations in New Delhi as the Group Coordinator for the education sector and was subsequently seconded to the Planning Commission of India to manage a joint UNDP-Govt. of India project on development financing. He went on to serve the Secretariat for the Indian Prime Minister’s Committee on Infrastructure, where he supported multibillion dollar initiatives and transactions in the airports, highways, ports and power sectors. Mr. Dixit holds an MBA from Stanford University, an MA in Mathematical Economics from the University of Bombay and a B.Com from the Sydenham College in Mumbai.

Karthik Bhat

Associate
Location: Bangalore, India

Karthik is an Associate and part of the Zephyr Peacock Investment team. Karthik has 7 years of work experience in financial services including investment research and business advisory services. Prior to joining Zephyr Peacock, Karthik worked at Goldman Sachs investment research for more than 4 years and has tracked and published research reports on the US technology as well as Indian energy sectors. Prior to Goldman, Kartik was at Deloitte Haskins and Sells, where he was involved in engagements in assurance, taxation and business advisory services.

Karthik is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business Hyderabad. He has also completed CFA Level 3 from the US CFA Institute.
